n8n automation cost in Bangladesh has three layers: the n8n plan, the server if you self-host, and the work around it (AI usage, building the workflows, upkeep). On n8n Cloud, plans start at €20 a month billed annually, about Tk 2,800 at an assumed Tk 140 per euro, for 2,500 workflow runs. Self-hosting the Community Edition has no licence fee, but you pay for a server and someone to run it. Bottom line: a small shop should expect roughly Tk 5,000 to 6,500 a month to run a basic setup, plus a one-time build, and should compare options on a 12-month total rather than the sticker price. That monthly range is an estimate built from the assumptions shown below.
Transparency note: The author builds n8n workflows and may be hired for that work, so he has a commercial interest in this topic. n8n runs an affiliate programme, but no link in this guide is an affiliate link. Prices come from n8n's own pricing page (read on October 9, 2026) and third-party trackers dated July to October 2026. Confirm them on each vendor's site before you buy.
Key takeaways
n8n Cloud costs €20 (Starter), €50 (Pro) or €667 (Business, self-hosted only) a month on annual billing. That is about Tk 2,800, Tk 7,000 and Tk 93,380 at Tk 140 per euro.
n8n bills by workflow runs, not by steps. Design workflows so one run does the whole job.
Self-hosting saves the plan fee but adds server, backup and upkeep costs. In the worked example below, the 12-month totals for Cloud and self-hosted land within about Tk 500 of each other.
AI model usage is billed separately by the model provider and is usually small for a small shop, but it needs a foreign-currency card.
Paying from Bangladesh needs planning: bKash and Nagad cannot pay international subscriptions, and cards usually need international enablement.
Why the cost question matters now
Small firms are most of the economy. A Dhaka Tribune op-ed (July 2026) says cottage, micro, small and medium enterprises make up about 99% of enterprises and nearly 80% of industrial employment.
Selling happens in chat. BSS reported in March 2026 that industry estimates put active Facebook-commerce entrepreneurs at 200,000 to 250,000. These are estimates, not an official count.
Most price pages are not written for Bangladesh. The n8n price guides published in 2026 quote euros or dollars and rarely cover Taka totals, foreign-currency payment limits or local build fees. This guide fills that gap.
Prices move. Hetzner, a common budget server host, raised prices on June 15, 2026, according to one price tracker, and n8n plan limits are revised from time to time. Treat every figure here as a dated snapshot.
What you actually pay for
n8n automation cost is the total of four things: the n8n plan or server, the AI models your workflows call, the one-time build of the workflows, and the ongoing upkeep.
Platform: n8n Cloud subscription, or a server you rent for the free Community Edition.
AI usage: per-token charges from the model provider, billed separately.
Build: your own time, a freelancer or an agency.
Upkeep: fixing broken connections, renewing access tokens, updating, backups and monitoring.
n8n Cloud prices in Taka

All prices below are from n8n's official pricing page on October 9, 2026, converted at an assumed Tk 140 per euro. Update the rate before you budget.
Starter: €20 a month billed annually
About Tk 2,800 a month, or Tk 33,600 for the year. It includes 2,500 workflow runs, one shared project, five concurrent runs and a five-minute limit per run. Monthly billing is about €24, or Tk 3,360.
Pro: €50 a month billed annually
About Tk 7,000 a month, or Tk 84,000 for the year. It includes 10,000 runs, three shared projects, up to 50 concurrent runs, seven days of insights and admin roles. Monthly billing is about €60, or Tk 8,400.
Business: €667 a month billed annually
About Tk 93,380 a month. It has 40,000 runs, single sign-on, Git version control and multiple environments, but n8n lists it as self-hosted only for now. n8n offers companies with fewer than 20 employees 50% off Business through its Start-up Plan if they qualify, which would be about €333.50, or Tk 46,690, a month.
Enterprise: contact sales
Custom run counts, dedicated support and compliance features. There is no public price.
Cost per 1,000 runs
At annual billing, Starter works out to €8 per 1,000 runs (€20 ÷ 2.5), about Tk 1,120. Pro is €5 per 1,000 (€50 ÷ 10), about Tk 700. Business is about €16.68 per 1,000, about Tk 2,335. Unused runs do not roll over, according to CloudZero's pricing analysis, so using half your Starter allowance doubles your effective price: €20 ÷ 1,250 runs is €0.016 a run against a list rate of €0.008.
Free trial
n8n offers a trial without a credit card. The trial is limited to 1,000 runs, five concurrent runs, a 180-second limit per run and one team project, so it is enough to test one workflow, not to run a shop.
How many runs will you use?
n8n counts one run as one full pass through a workflow, however many steps it has. For chatbots, n8n's own guidance is to multiply the number of conversations by the average messages per conversation.
Chat orders: 600 chats a month × 4 messages each = 2,400 runs.
Daily brief: one scheduled run a day = about 30 runs.
Total: 2,430 runs, which is 97% of Starter's 2,500 allowance.
Avoid polling. n8n says a workflow scheduled every five minutes uses about 8,600 to 8,900 runs a month, more than three times the Starter allowance. Use webhooks, which run only when something happens, instead of checking every few minutes.
Self-hosting costs
The Community Edition is the free, standard self-hosted version listed on n8n's pricing page. Trackers report no execution cap on it. You pay for the machine and the effort.
Server: VPS Benchmarks listed Hetzner's CX23 (2 vCPU, 4 GB RAM) at €5.99 a month in August 2026, and CostGoat listed €5.49 in September. At €5.99 that is about Tk 839 a month. Contabo's Cloud VPS Plus 4 (4 vCPU, 8 GB RAM) was listed at €13.50, about Tk 1,890.
Extras: backups, a domain and monitoring. This guide assumes Tk 500 a month for them.
Your time: updates, security patches, restoring from backup when something breaks. This guide assumes Tk 3,000 a month of upkeep, against Tk 2,000 on Cloud.
Licence: read n8n's licence terms before you resell hosted n8n to clients as a service.
Data location: n8n Cloud stores data in Frankfurt, Germany. When you self-host, data sits wherever your server is.
AI model costs
Your workflows call a model from Google, OpenAI, Anthropic or another provider, and the provider bills you per token. Prices change often, so check the provider's pricing page.
Worked example (estimate): assume 2,400 customer messages a month, 800 input tokens and 150 output tokens each.
Input: 2,400 × 800 = 1.92 million tokens. Output: 2,400 × 150 = 0.36 million tokens.
On a Gemini Flash-class model listed at $1.50 per million input and $7.50 per million output (DEV Community, July 2026): $2.88 + $2.70 = $5.58, about Tk 681 at an assumed Tk 122 per dollar.
On a cheaper Flash-Lite-class model listed at $0.10 input and $0.40 output (Morph, 2026): $0.192 + $0.144 = $0.336, about Tk 41.
Thinking tokens are billed as output on some models, so real bills can run higher. This guide budgets Tk 700 a month.
Free tier caution: Google's free API tier is rate-limited, and one 2026 pricing review says Google may use free-tier inputs and outputs to improve its products. Do not send customer names, phone numbers or addresses through a free tier.
What building it costs
Do it yourself: no cash cost, but budget real hours. A first workflow with testing often takes days.
Freelancer: global marketplace reports in 2026 put mid-level n8n freelancers at $40 to $100 an hour, or about Tk 4,880 to 12,200 at Tk 122 per dollar, and one 2026 report lists Fiverr gigs at $80 to $350 per workflow, about Tk 9,760 to 42,700. These are global figures, not Bangladeshi market rates, and I found no reliable local survey. Get at least three local quotes.
Agency: quoted per project, usually with a monthly retainer for upkeep.
This guide's assumption: 20 hours at Tk 1,500 an hour, so Tk 30,000 one time. This is an illustrative figure, not a market rate.
Paying for n8n from Bangladesh
bKash, Nagad and Rocket cannot pay international subscriptions, according to a 2026 guide on paying for AWS from Bangladesh.
Cards usually need international enablement, often a passport endorsement at your bank branch that counts against your annual foreign-exchange allowance.
A per-transaction cap may apply. Bangladesh Bank clarifications reported by The Business Standard and The Daily Star in about 2020 set a $300 limit per international card payment, with exceptions for some purposes. Rules change, so ask your bank what applies now.
Annual billing may hit that cap. Pro's annual total is €600, about Tk 84,000, well above $300. Monthly billing costs 20% more per month (€60 against €50) but may be easier to pay.
Business and Enterprise can be paid by invoice or wire, according to n8n's pricing page.
Cost tiers

AI usage, the build and upkeep are extra in every tier.
12-month cost example
Same workload for every row: 2,430 runs a month, Tk 700 a month for AI, and the assumptions above. This is an illustration with assumed numbers, so replace each one with your own.
Cloud Starter, annual billing
Platform: Tk 33,600
AI: Tk 8,400
Build: Tk 30,000
Upkeep: Tk 24,000
Year-1 total: Tk 96,000
Cloud Starter, monthly billing
Platform: Tk 40,320
AI: Tk 8,400
Build: Tk 30,000
Upkeep: Tk 24,000
Year-1 total: Tk 102,720
Self-hosted on a €5.99 server
Platform: Tk 10,063 plus Tk 6,000 extras
AI: Tk 8,400
Build: Tk 36,000
Upkeep: Tk 36,000
Year-1 total: Tk 96,463
How the rows are built:
Cloud annual: €20 × 12 = €240 × 140 = Tk 33,600. Upkeep is Tk 2,000 × 12 = Tk 24,000.
Cloud monthly: €24 × 12 = €288 × 140 = Tk 40,320.
Self-hosted: €5.99 × 12 = €71.88 × 140 = Tk 10,063. Extras are Tk 500 × 12 = Tk 6,000. Build includes 4 extra hours of server setup (4 × Tk 1,500 = Tk 6,000), so Tk 36,000. Upkeep is Tk 3,000 × 12 = Tk 36,000.
What it shows: in year one the three setups cost almost the same. In year two, with no build cost, Cloud annual is Tk 66,000 and self-hosted is Tk 60,463, so self-hosting saves about Tk 5,537 a year if your upkeep estimate holds. Self-hosting pays off with a technical owner and higher volumes, not at the smallest scale.
ROI: a worked example
This is an illustration, not a client result. It reuses the Cloud annual setup above.
Assumptions (all estimates):
Time freed: Tk 3,600 a month. This is paid time, not cash, unless you cut hours or redeploy them.
Extra orders from faster replies: 20 a month at an average order of Tk 1,200 and a 25% gross margin.
Running cost: Tk 2,800 (n8n) + Tk 700 (AI) + Tk 2,000 (upkeep) = Tk 5,500 a month.
Build: Tk 30,000 one time.
Steps:
Recovered margin = 20 × Tk 1,200 × 0.25 = Tk 6,000
Monthly benefit = Tk 3,600 + Tk 6,000 = Tk 9,600
Net monthly gain = Tk 9,600 − Tk 5,500 = Tk 4,100
Payback = Tk 30,000 ÷ Tk 4,100 = about 7.3 months
Year-1 benefit = 12 × Tk 9,600 = Tk 115,200. Year-1 cost = Tk 96,000.
Year-1 ROI = (Tk 115,200 − Tk 96,000) ÷ Tk 96,000 = 20%
Conservative case: if you gain 10 extra orders instead of 20, recovered margin is Tk 3,000 and the monthly benefit is Tk 6,600. Net monthly gain falls to Tk 1,100, payback stretches to about 27.3 months, and year-1 ROI is −17.5% (Tk 79,200 benefit against Tk 96,000 cost). Check how many extra orders you can realistically expect before you commit.
Hidden costs checklist
AI usage that grows with chat volume, including thinking tokens billed as output.
Unused runs: they do not roll over, so oversizing a plan wastes money.
Extra runs from careless design, such as polling every few minutes.
Messaging channel fees: on WhatsApp, Meta's pricing page says free-form replies inside the 24-hour customer window are free, but templates sent outside it are charged.
Foreign-exchange and card fees on each payment. Ask your bank for the exact charges.
Platform changes: access tokens expire and connections break, so budget for fixes.
Compliance time: Bangladesh's Personal Data Protection Ordinance 2025 expects consent and limits some transfers abroad, according to law-firm summaries. Ask a lawyer about your case.
Key-person risk: a freelancer who leaves with the only logins and no notes.
Red flags to avoid
A quote with no list of what is included. Ask for hours, workflows, tests and handover notes in writing.
A fixed "unlimited automation" price. Runs, AI tokens and message fees all scale with use.
No access for you. You should own the n8n account, server, API keys and workflow files.
No upkeep plan. Ask who fixes a broken connection and how fast.
Customer data on a free AI tier. Check the provider's data terms first.
Self-hosting without backups. Test a restore before you trust the server.
Decision guide by business size
Solo seller or tester
1st choice: n8n's free trial, then Cloud Starter on monthly billing if card payment is easier
2nd choice: Self-hosted, only if you are comfortable with servers
Avoid: Pro or Business before your volume needs them
Small team (3 to 10 staff)
1st choice: Cloud Pro or Starter on annual billing if you can pay it
2nd choice: Self-hosted with a developer on call
Avoid: Business plan
Growing SME (10 to 50 staff)
1st choice: Self-hosted Business, with the Start-up Plan discount if you qualify
2nd choice: Cloud Pro plus an agency retainer
Avoid: Running production on a server nobody owns
Implementation timeline
Cloud Starter, one workflow: about 1 to 2 weeks with 3 to 5 hours of your time for examples and testing.
Self-hosted: add 1 to 3 days for server setup, backups and security.
Several workflows with courier or payment steps: 3 to 6 weeks, depending on access approvals.
These are estimates, not benchmarks.
FAQ
How much does n8n cost in Bangladesh?
n8n Cloud costs €20 (Starter), €50 (Pro) or €667 (Business, self-hosted) a month on annual billing, about Tk 2,800, Tk 7,000 and Tk 93,380 at an assumed Tk 140 per euro. Self-hosting the Community Edition has no licence fee, but you pay for a server, AI usage, the build and upkeep.
Is n8n free in Bangladesh?
The Community Edition is free to self-host, but the server, backups, upkeep and AI usage are not free. n8n Cloud has a trial without a credit card, limited to 1,000 runs, so it suits testing one workflow. For a working shop, budget for a paid plan or a server.
How much does it cost to self-host n8n?
A small server listed around €5.49 to €5.99 a month at Hetzner in 2026 is about Tk 770 to 840, and Contabo's 8 GB plan was listed at €13.50. Add backups, a domain and your time for updates. This guide assumes about Tk 5,000 a month all-in at the smallest scale.
How do I pay for n8n from Bangladesh?
bKash, Nagad and Rocket cannot pay international subscriptions, according to a 2026 guide. Most people use a bank card enabled for international use, often after a passport endorsement. Older Bangladesh Bank clarifications reported a $300 per-transaction cap, so ask your bank what applies now, especially for annual plans.
Is n8n cheaper on monthly or annual billing?
Annual billing is cheaper: Starter is €20 a month annually against about €24 monthly, and Pro is €50 against about €60, a saving of roughly 17%. Annual payment is larger, though. Pro's yearly total is €600, about Tk 84,000, which may hit card limits, so monthly billing can be easier.
What counts as an n8n execution?
One execution is one complete run of a workflow, whether it has two steps or fifty. For a chatbot, n8n suggests multiplying conversations by average messages per conversation. A workflow scheduled every five minutes uses about 8,600 to 8,900 runs a month, so use webhooks instead of polling where you can.
How much does it cost to hire someone to build n8n workflows?
Global marketplace reports in 2026 show $40 to $100 an hour for mid-level n8n freelancers, or about Tk 4,880 to 12,200 at Tk 122 per dollar. Bangladeshi rates may differ and I found no reliable local survey, so collect at least three quotes and ask for a written scope.
Do AI model costs come on top of n8n?
Yes. The model provider bills per token, separately from n8n. In this guide's example of 2,400 messages a month, a Flash-class model costs about Tk 681 and a Flash-Lite-class model about Tk 41, though thinking tokens can raise bills. Set a monthly cap with your provider and avoid free tiers for customer data.
When do I need to upgrade from Starter to Pro?
Upgrade when your monthly runs approach 2,500, when you need more than five concurrent runs, or when you need admin roles and more projects. Check usage in n8n's insights before upgrading, and fix wasteful design such as polling first, because a better workflow can keep you on Starter.
Is n8n cheaper than Zapier or Make?
n8n charges per workflow run rather than per step, so workflows with many steps often cost less than on per-step tools. The result depends on your volume, so price the same workload on each tool's current pricing page. I did not compare live prices for this guide, so confirm before you decide.
